USA 2006 - Monoprint 3.
Much like the year before, the 2006 U.S. Grand Prix was bonkers.
At the start of the race, on the very first turn, a pile-up wiped out 7 (seven) cars. Both McLarens, Jenson Button, Scott Speed, Montagny, Albers, Mark Webber all crashed out, with Nick Heidfeld’s BMW flipping through a crazy triple roll.
After that carnage, Ferrari took over and Schumacher led Massa in a smooth one-two cruise, while Fisichella salvaged third and Alonso’s winning streak ended in fifth.
Schumacher set the fastest lap and trimmed Alonso’s championship lead to just 19 points, making the championship start to look interesting.
